Scrip Awards – MakroCare selected as finalist for the 2012 in 2 categories

London, UK/Newark, USA, September 14, 2012 — MakroCare, a global development and commercialization services company focused on partnering with Pharma, Biotech and Medical Devices firms to meet theit growth objectives, today announced that it has been selected as a finalist for the 2012 Scrip Awards in 2 categories – “Clinical Research Team of the Year” and “Best Technological Development in Clinical Trials”.

Criteria for selecting finalists in the “Clinical Research Team of the Year” category included an evaluation of scientific achievements from June 2011 to May 2012, impact on company performance, overcoming challenges and improving standards of research outside the organization.

MakroCare’s DDi subidiary’s product mPortal is also nominated for an award in the “Best Technological Development in Clinical Trials” category. mPortal enables development teams, sites and all other partners /stake holders collaborate and share information as well as documents securely with online interfaces. mPortal’s main objective was to keep systems simple to use as that will accelerate the adoption as well as acceptance of intended users. As all information sharing in future is bound to happen online and hand held devices, having effective clinical technologies in that direction will decrease costs, increase virtual team collaborations and productivity.
